McHenry Hohnen Hazel's BDX 2021
An age-worthy Malbec dominant blend with Cabernet Sauvignon providing structure and Petit Verdot adding lift, this wine bursts with aromas of cassis and crushed violets. Sweetened spices and mulberries are complemented by more savoury notes of cedar and mocha from maturation in the finest selection of French oak barriques. The palate is voluminous yet focused with a ripe frame of fine tannins giving length to this deliciously fragrant wine. Try with mature cheeses, roasted vegetables or rich mushroom dishes.
