Fattoria Selvapiana 'Vigneto Bucerchiale' Chianti Rufina Riserva 2022
Selvapiana are one of the top producers in the rather special Rufina subregion of Chianti. The grapes for their Rufina Riserva are sourced from their prized 'Bucerchiale' vineyard, which was planted in 1968, to produce this vibrant, elegant, yet powerful Chianti. Aged for 15 months in French oak barrels before bottling. Tremendous depth of colour with great intensity on the nose. The palate is powerful and fruit packed with ripe raspberry and spicy cherry fruit, supported by a touch of herbs and violets. Robust tannins and a long, fine finish which is the hallmark of the Selvapiana wines. Only produced in the best vintages. Try with ragu or a rich risotto.
