Daschbosch Mossiesdrift Steen (Chenin Blanc) 2023
A fine example of old vine Chenin Blanc from a 60 year old vineyard in Breedekloof. A standout wine in the excellent Daschbosch range of ‘heritage’ wines, one of the region’s star producers. Ripe and complex aromas of mango and citrus with butterscotch and spicy notes. Ripe, concentrated fruit and a creamy, textural palate are offset by taut acidity giving focus to the intense yet restrained peach and dried apricot flavours. An impressive, elegant old vine Chenin with great purity of fruit and notable length. Perfect with creamy chicken and seafood dishes.
